Was the property you purchased sold by the occupants? If it was sold by an absentee property owner or as a result of probate, for examples, the seller may not know very much about the property to disclose. If they disclose what they know, chances are they&#039;re off the hook...</description>

		<description>Speaking of disclosures on properties, I recently bought a place built in 1946.  It needed some work, but was basically sound.  Anyhow, after a few weeks, the sewage backed up into the house.  Why?  Root invasion of the lateral between the house and the sewer main.  Shouldn&#039;t this have been disclosed to me during my purchase?  Sure, I can have the roots drilled out, but ultimately I was told that I&#039;ll need to make an $8000 repair to replace the lateral!  Beware of this especially with older homes that have street trees...ask!!!</description>
